Our family, our table
MeMa's Chick'n' & Ribs started with a simple belief: good food brings people together. Fred and Myra built this place to feel less like a restaurant and more like a seat at the family table.
Where the name comes from
"MeMa" is the grandmother whose cooking you never forget. Fred and Myra brought that spirit to Wilmington — a Black-owned, military family-run restaurant rooted in Southern tradition and love.
Made from scratch, every order
Nothing leaves the kitchen reheated. Every plate is made fresh to order, and the smoker runs low and slow — ribs, brisket, and chicken cooked tender all the way through.
A place built for everyone
From the mocktail and dessert bar to vegan options alongside the BBQ, there's a seat here for everyone. The animal-print stools, warm lighting, and pet-friendly patio are all invitations to stay a little longer.
